LASG To Introduce Chinese Language In Public Schools
Oladunjoye said this in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Public
Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Lanre Bajulaiye, and made newsmen
The commissioner said this after a meeting with the delegation from the
Chinese Confucius Institute, University of Lagos.
She said that learning the language in the state’s public schools
would be an opportunity for the pupils and students to speak the language and be
able to adapt to the Chinese culture.
Prof. Caleb Orimoogunje, Director of the Institute, said the institution was
ready to assist the state with necessary logistics to make the teaching and
learning of the language easier.
Orimoogunje added that Prof. Lirong Jiang, a co-director of the institute,
would help in the take-off of the programme.
Jiang said the institute, as a representative of the Chinese culture in
Nigeria, was set up to satisfy people’s need about the country’s culture.
She noted that the language became necessary because China had become the
new destination for economic growth and technological development.
“The Institute is prepared to provide Chinese instructors to teach the
language and culture in the state’s public schools as soon as the Memorandum of
Understanding is signed between the state and the institute.
“The knowledge of Chinese language will help students to further their
studies in China and carry out research in various fields of human endeavour as
China has become a success story in the world economy,“ she said.
Implement Laws Against Cultism On Campuses’
Director, Centre for Environment and Science Education, Lagos State
University, Ojo, Prof. Ademola Onifade, penultimate Thursday advised the
Federal Government to fully implement laws against cultism in tertiary
institutions.
Onifade told the News Agency of Nigeria in an interview in Lagos that
there were enough legislation against the menace in the country but the laws
had not been fully implemented.
He called on government to complement efforts by the university
authorities stamp out the menace through speedy prosecution of offenders.
The lecturer said, “The major problem with cultism is that government is not
coming out the way it should come out.
“It is very difficult for universities to arraign students against cultism
because they will always find their way out.
“We take them to the police station the following day they are out and you
will start wondering, asking questions, what happened, what happened.
“And this has been discouraging the universities with respect to cultism.’’
He said a lot was being done by the tertiary institutions to curb the
menace but noted that such efforts could be strengthened with government’s
commitment toward its eradication.
Onifade, however, said many of the students arrested on campuses in
connection with alleged cultism had either been suspended or expelled.
He said, “We have enough regulations with respect to cultism in this
country; it’s just that the government is hesitating to wield the big stick.
“I am aware that if you are caught, you will go to 21 years imprisonment.
“We have enough regulations but they are not being implemented. So it is
left to the government to wield the big stick and that is what some of us are
waiting on.
“Universities are doing a lot to curb cultism on campuses; a lot of money is
being invested.
“I can take my university for example, Lagos State University, we have a
campus marshal, like campus police.
“Do you know how much LASU is spending on this? it’s a lot of money.’Davido Eating Akpu and asking for more
Whatever was really done to this picture to make it look hilarious must have taken the make so much time and energy. First the maker made the background really cool with a very old application, later went ahead to put that dude in such a torso that speaks more like a mechanic with his shirt open. Could Davido, known as Omo Baba Olowo( Child of a rich man), ever be caught in such environments?
what did u think about this picture is it real at all
Mother who get her 1year old baby drunk
So many mothers are not worth to be called mothers. In short many of these
ladies that give birth should be thrown to the lions and their children
given up for foster caring. Imagine the pride such a woman is having
getting her toddler drunk at that age.
Imagine the effect that drink will have on her still-growing liver; imagine what amount of damage will every organ that baby has will eventually face.
Later they will be the same parents accusing the kids of going to parties to get drunk. Is this the life one should be stretching out for the young ones?

ANOTHER Facebook Murder: Man Kills And Rapes 16 Year Old Girl He Met On Facebook
A Texas man, Franklin B. Davis, accused of murdering a 16-year-old girl used social media to lure her to a meeting, abduct her from her school and drive her to a river, where he killed her to keep her from testifying against him, police and a family spokeswoman said.
Franklin Davis gave a series of jailhouse interviews to local media outlets on Monday [Sep 10] to share his part of the story. Demons, he said. It was the demons. "I didn't plan on hurting her", he told WFAA's David Schecter. "I was fighting demons. It was like a different person was in me”.
The facts of the story are unsettling. Davis, 30, is charged with molesting Shania Gray, then 14, several times when she was a babysitter for his kids. She was scheduled to testify at his trial in October 2012 which, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Morning News, is why Davis wanted to talk to her.
Davis created a fake Facebook account with the picture of a teenage boy. He began messaging Shania, telling her he knew her friends and had a crush on her, per the paper's front-pager on Sunday. He called her using a pre-paid cell phone and agreed to meet her Thursday at Hebron High School.
Shania was surprised to see him, according to the affidavit, but agreed to get into the car when he said he just wanted to talk about the assault case. During the drive to a trail head at Valley View Lane and 635, she saw a pistol in his car and asked Davis if he planned to hurt her. He said no, and they walked down the trail to the Trinity, where he shot her twice.
Quote
"Why, Wish?" she asked as she stumbled into the water, using his nickname. Davis then pulled her onto the bank and stepped on her neck until she stopped breathing, according to what he told police. Shania's body was found there two days later.
"I needed to get some kind of evidence, some kind of proof myself to show I did not made love with her and that she's lying”, David told the television station. He said he didn't intend to harm Gray but was overcome in the moment.
"I was fighting demons", Davis told the station. "It was like a different person was in me. It wasn't me."
Hundreds of friends and well-wishers joined Gray's parents at a candlelight vigil Monday [Sep 10] night outside Horn High School in Mesquite, where she previously attended.
KTVT-TV of Dallas and Fort Worth reported that one student was taken to a hospital after her friends said she was crying so hard that she had a seizure.
Davis was arrested on Saturday [Sep 8] and allegedly confessed. He's being held in Dallas County on a capital murder charge. Bond is set at $2 million. Friends and family have set up a memorial Facebook page in memory of Shania.
ATTENTION YOUNG LADIES!!! How To Prevent Breast Cancer
Cancer prevention is easier than you think. With a few simple
lifestyle changes, you can drastically reduce your risk of many types of
cancer. Many factors play a role in cancer development, but the good news is
that most can be avoided.
1. Avoid Smoking and Exposure to
Smoke
Smoking
is the most significant cancer risk factor that we can reduce. It is
responsible for not only lung cancer, but many other types of cancer. One
of the best ways to prevent cancer is to quit smoking or never start. As soon
as you quit, and it's never too late, your body
reaps the benefits of being tobacco-free.
Avoiding secondhand smoke is also a way to prevent cancer. Secondhand smoke is the smoke exhaled from a smoker or a lit cigarette, pipe or cigar. This smoke contains more than 60 known carcinogens". These carcinogens interrupt normal cell development. This interference is what ignites cancer development.

2. Practice Sun Safety and Recognize
When Skin Changes Occur
Did
you know that over one million Americans are diagnosed with skin cancer each year? Skin cancer is the most
common type of cancer among men and women, and it accounts for about half of
all cancer diagnoses. The good news is that skin cancer is one of the most
preventable types of cancer.
The first step in preventing skin cancer is to avoid UV ray exposure. We can do this by wearing sunscreen, avoiding mid-day sun, wearing protective clothing when outdoors, and by staying away from tanning beds. Here are some tips to get you started:

3. Eat Your Fruits and Veggies
A
well-balanced diet is advantageous for many reasons. A diet rich in fruits and
vegetables greatly reduces your risk of developing cancer and many other
conditions.
Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants, which help repair our damaged cells. Green, orange and yellow fruits and vegetables are your best bet to help prevent cancer. Studies also show that dark fruits, like blueberries and grapes, may also have anti-cancer properties.
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower appear to pack a powerful punch at preventing cancer, according to numerous studies. Other cruciferous vegetables include bok choy, Brussel sprouts, and cabbage.

4. Limit Red Meat and Animal Fat
Numerous studies show that a diet
high in animal fat increases the risk for several types of cancer, particularly
colon cancer. Red meat contains much more fat than poultry and fish, so
reducing the amount of red meat in your diet may help to prevent cancer. A diet
high in fat also is major cause of obesity, which is a risk factor for many
types of cancer.
5. Limit Your Alcohol Intake
Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol regularly increases
your risk factor for many types of cancer. Studies suggest that men who consume
2 alcoholic drinks per day and women who have 1 alcoholic drink per day
significantly increase their risk factors for certain types of cancer.
6. Exercise for Cancer Prevention
Did
you know that when you are exercise, you are reducing your risk for many types
of cancer? The American Cancer Society recommends exercising 30 or minutes, at
least 5 days a week for cancer prevention. Exercising doesn't have to mean
going to the gym to lift weights. There are plenty of ways to get exercise into
your day. Check out these for great gym alternatives.
7. Know Your Personal and Family
Medical History
Knowing
your family history of cancer is important to properly assess your risk factor
for certain types of cancer. We know that cancers like breast, colon, ovarian,
and possibly other types can be hereditary.
If you know that a certain type of cancer runs in your family, let your doctor know. Together, you can determine a proper screening plan and assess your true risk. Genetic testing and counseling is available and may be recommended based on your family's medical history.

8. Know What You're Being Exposed to
in Your Work Environment
Chemicals
in the workplace may increase your risk of developing many types of cancer,
including kidney cancer and bladder cancer. If you are exposed to fumes,
dust, chemicals, etc. in the workplace, you have a legal right to know what you
are being exposed to. Gasoline, diesel exhaust, arsenic, beryllium, vinyl
chloride, nickel chromates, coal products, mustard gas, and chloromethyl ethers
are all carcinogens and can be found in some work environments. Talk to your
employer about limiting exposure.
9. Practice Safe Sex
You may wonder what sex has to do with cancer. Unsafe sex
can result in the infection of the human papillomairus (HPV), a known cause for
cervical cancer and a risk factor for many other types of cancer. HPV is a
common sexually transmitted infection that is spread through sexual,
skin-to-skin contact. A vaccine, Gardasil, to prevent HPV was approved by the FDA
in 2006 and protects against four strains of HPV that are associated with
cervical cancer and other types. HIV/AIDS is also associated with some types of
cancers.
10. Get Screened for Cancer
Regularly
Cancer screening tests can be useful not only in detecting
cancer, but also helping prevent it. Screening tests like the colonoscopy and
Pap smear can detect abnormal cellular changes before they turn cancerous. The
key to their effectiveness, however, is that they are done regularly.
Other cancer screening tests are available and may be useful for early detection, but not necessarily cancer prevention. Prostate cancer screening through digital rectal exams and PSA tests can help detect prostate cancer early. Mammograms and other imaging tools are also recommended to detect breast cancer in women.

Woman gave birth to horse
This new was do strange to me that a woman had delivered a HORSE at the World Liberation Ministry located along the Sapele-Benin express road on Tuesday. The incident according to reports happened during a prophesy programme at that church.
The horse was however dead by the time Journalists visited the church. It was gathered that the woman whose identity is not yet known started screaming during the prayer session and began to bleed from the v*g*na before the horse came out.
The General Overseer of the church, Evangelist Silva Wealth, said he was still amazed at what came out of the woman. He told Journalists that during prayers a revelation came that there was a woman with an issue and that something was blocking her womb. Silva said as prayers intensified, the woman started screaming and bled as the object came out of her.
The cleric said he couldn’t confirm whether the horse was dead or alive because he didn’t go near it.
“I can’t describe the object. We have seen people that vomited several things during our service but not this type of thing. God has been blessing our ministry with prophesies and miracles”, he said.
As soon as news of the mysterious delivery filtered into town, people rushed to the church to catch a glimpse of the horse.
